About The Film

Investigating the urban legend behind a strange painting sold on eBay rumored to come to life in the middle of the night, filmmaker Gregg Gibbs goes on a journey to discover the truth behind the superstitious claims that spurred a internet sensation. Combining aspects of documentary and horror movie genres, "The Haunted Painting" confronts irrational beliefs; surrounding hoaxes versus facts, superstitious beliefs and society's obsessive fascination with the unknowable. The cumulative results lead to discoveries both shocking and surprising.
